Similar to Samuel Lee anyway...

It is the very typical mindset of people who have not been born again, the idea that you need to do something to earn God's forgiveness. It's also the basic fault of all religions. These people believe that without pressure and punishment, people cannot be good, and without having done something for God, God cannot do anything for you. It is also the mindset of legalist and elitist Christians who like the thought that they are the only saved Christians because they work so diligently or obey the "rules" so strictly.
