I must say that Mike's recent review of Arthur Brown's album is that of a shameless man who wouldn't know a classic organ-inspired masterpiece if it bit him in the ass. I can certainly agree that Brown's eccentricities on some of his songs might be too much, however, that doesn't take six guitars away from the album. Fire! the album's biggest hit is an insidious rocker which plants itself in your head via it's ingenius opening, "I am the God of Hellfire and I Bring You....FIRE!!!" I also have to mention Rest Cure which is a pop ditty worthy of hit status, not to mention his haunting version of I Put a Spell on You. I agree with Mike that the dramatic reading of Fire Poem is also classic. Arthur Brow's eccentricities may keep this album from being a 10, but it's definitely a 7 in my book.

P.S.- In the words of Mike's own cousing, "Go Eat A Dick."

Roman, thanks for your input. Obviously Arthur Brown has hit a note with you that he hasn't with me. I think he provides some decent psychedelic rock, but nothing amazing. I still think 4 guitars is fair. If you want to use my +/- one guitar margin of error, you can say I gave him 5. Come back often!

Mike
