Sim, tendo o contexto delineado agora, fica mais facil entender. Pois, quando li, pensei que o autor se referia ao fracasso do processo da autonomia.

Acho que muitas vezes nossos alunos veem a gramatica e estrutura do ingles da mesma forma que muitos veem a matematica. Para que servem estas regras - pensam eles. Ou, muitos deles, sabem aplica-las, mas nao tem ciencia que as conhecem.

Agradeço a boa vontade de deixar o livro para eu pegar o xerox, mas infelizmente, fica um pouco complicado eu ir a Federal pegar o material. MOra em Itauna e trabalho o dia todo. Mas, agradeço sim.
