Hi Mark.....

How are ya?? Sorry it has taken me so long to get over to sign this.......but here I am!!!

Just wanted to let you know that I think this is a great idea...it has been too long since the boys did a full-blown Canadian tour so best of luck on getting them down east this year. Hopefully the new Canadian dates added to the tour yesterday are just a sign of good things to come. By the way, I will be adding this page to my links page in the next couple of days...hope that is still ok???

Ciao,

Tami

I was setting up my own website in the Atlantic ring and I was interested in this link. It would be cool to see a clasic canadian rock theme come thru to the Casino. I'm hoping my hints bring me Colin James tickets for Christmas. Seeing Loverboy or any of our other great Canadian groups would be great. The casino would be perfect for all of us 30 or 40 somethings looking for a night out.

I was wondering what this link was when I was searching on the Atlantic Canada ring. The Loverboy part caught my attention. I would love to go see them indoors! Not sure I could take the chance on a outdoor concert. What a way to break up the winter if they went to the casino or club date.

I am a huge fan. Closest I have heard of them this way in the last few years was a NewFoundland concert with some other groups. I would love to see them at the Casino here. Travelling to NB would be in my plans as well if I heard they were coming.

Put me down for Loverboy at Harbour Station. I missed the Bryan Adams concert and heard it was awesome. Yes we should be attracting classic rock.

saw this link on the new Atlantic Canada web ring list. I am not personally a Loverboy fan but do agree about bringing more classic rock this way. Harbour station could set itself apart from all the other venues by specializing in a classic rock format. People from out of town would keep an eye on their website like others do with the casino in Halifax. Either way I would like to see Loverboy come here because I know there is a fan base that would go see them and it would help attract other acts in the future to come here.

See what I mean. we need to be more active trying to get entertainment to harbour station. Just lost the OSHL game. I read another post that had it right. Harbour station needs to go looking for more entertainment like concerts hockey etc....... the website a harbour station is looking pretty bare.

Moncton would probably be one of the best spots for a Loverboy concert. It would be very central for the 3 provinces. Newfoundland was just way too far to travel when they were there a couple of years ago.

Loverboy is still around? They were one of my favorites. That's how far behind the times we are that we would not know they are still touring. Halifax for me first than anywhere else after.

As most Saint Johners know we need harbour station to attract more entertainment. We don't have hockey anymore on a regular basis and if I see the tragically Hip once more i probably will be considered a stalker by them. get off your duff and find some new acts to bring here.

I remember when all the classic 80's rock was coming to Moncton. They were all here Loverboy, Platnum blonde, Def Leppard, Rod Stewart etc...... We do need to get more constant entertainment coming this way. Should not need a casino to do this. We need our local rink mgt to search out some of these acts to find out their touring schedule. What a blast from the past Loverboy would be!

Yes Saint John is in need of some new groups to perform here. How great it would be to see an 80's night at Harbour Station or the Imperial Theatre. If we have the chance make sure you buy your tickets early and don't wait til the last minute and find out things were cancelled because promoters felt there was no interest.

Hey I don't see anyone mentioning the birth place of Canada. We have a large rink here perfect for concerts or how about our Canada Day concerts that have brought Kim Mitchell, Tom Cochrane, Haywire and more here. Yes I would travel during the summer to see Loverboy anywhere in Atlantic Canada but let's see them travel across the fixed link to the bright red mud!

It's time we get back to our classic rock festivals we had in the late 80's with the Beach Boys, Kim Mithchell, April Wine. I am a Lady of the 80's and would love to see Loverboy as part of a classis rock fest or on their own.

I was just wondering if any of you guys thought to get a hold of your local venues to ask Loverboy to play there? There is a review done by a fan from Quebec who decided to e-mail the organizers of a local annual fireworks event where they always bring in big name acts and he asked about having Loverboy there and it worked! Loverboy played in Sherbrooke Quebec on July 14 (I think the date was) apparently because of his e-mail! It can't hurt anyway! Just thought I would bring this up!

Hi everyone! Just finished reading everyone's messages! Like Kathy, I just saw the message about this site in the official LB website. Kudos to the person(s) who set this up! What a great idea! Now, I'm not from Atlantic Canada, but from Alberta and I have seen Loverboy a few times in the past several years but I just wanted to lend MY support to bring Loverboy out your guy's way! It's be WAY too long for you out there! Unfortunately,'02 and '03 were NOT "stellar" years for the band playing in Canada as a whole, but it seems that they are coming back again. I went to the K-Days concert in Edmonton this summer and I overheard Paul Dean saying that "The Canadian crowds are really starting to come out to their shows again. It's like we are on a comeback!" He said. That was like music to my ears because BEING a Canadian fan of this Canadian "phenom" band, I WANT to see them play more in Canada, and yes, I think that Atlantic Canada should be at the top of their list! Count me in on your support and hey! I'll do anything to help you because you guys deserve to see them again too!
