Just about everyone in Cottonwood is a Hicks or is related to the Hickses. When Mr. Lynx ran a boiler room there, he had scads of them working for him. They all look alike. I'll never forget one time when one of the women brought in her new baby to show Mr. Lynx, and he looked at it and said "What's wrong with its head?" lol.
