Another way to look at this:
1/9 = .11111111...
2/9 = .22222222...
3/9 = .33333333...
and so on
9/9 = .99999999..., or by reducing the fraction, 9/9 = 1

I've never found this property confusing, but it is an interesting quality of infinite sequences.
