Incidentally, I think it's irresponsible in a time of war to be lowering anyone's taxes... especially when we owe so much interest to other countries. I can see keeping the rates low while the recession is going on, but as soon as the economy improves, we're going to have to start paying for all of the stuff that the government has bought already. I'm not a fan of the stimulus checks at all, and I wish Pelosi would stop pushing for them. I would think that the past eight years should have shown us the lunacy of our government's lowering its tax income while increasing its spending.

So basically I'm not a fan of either plan, though I thought Obama's was more practical than McCain's. Ultimately they aren't all that different though.
