I came to Baton Rouge to stay with my mom, who was admitted into the hospital on Monday. A lot of help I am!!! sheesh I'm holed up in a hotel.

She has a compound fracture on a vertabra and was experiencing severe pain on Monday. Lots of tests and scans didn't show anything else to worry about except that she's not a candidate for osteoplasty (?) so she will be in a brace for 6-8 weeks and go through physical therapy. Hopefully she'll go home Monday. Cross fingers!

I started a round of antibiotics last night, so I'm hoping to feel better by the morning. Wish me luck.
