I have actually tried everything you guys suggested. I'm not sure now if there's anything there or not, but the problem, which occurred twice before, has not recurred.

D, when I used system restore to take it back a couple of months, it said that nothing had been added in that time.

Lim, when I ran the spyware program you suggested, it cleaned out some cookies, but I'm not sure that it was anything that AdAware hadn't cleaned out before.

In other words, I just don't know. Perhaps when my Norton updated, something was cleaned out at that time? Guess I'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, I'll be very careful.
