You might also check online for updates. And if 2007 oneard is what you're looking to play, I would bet quite a few users will have submitted roster files with what they feel are more accurate player abilities.

But the game does have some pretty ingenious logic for players having fluke seasons. You might just be seeing that. That's why I was interested in seeing what would happen if you ran another 2007 season... in fact, you could just sim it very quickly, without managing, and see whether Kip Wells is still the superstar he's been for you.
