I think a person should be able to refuse treatment if so desired. However, I get the liability issue for the doc and hospital because of the numerous erroneous lawsuits out there. I assume most MDs don't have experience in homeopathic/herbal treatments, which could explain their inclination to disregard or avoid them. I wouldn't want somebody treating me with something they didn't know about.

There is NO excuse for a doctor to be condescending towards a patient. It makes me want to slap them. I'm not an idiot and do not appreciate being talked to like one. HMPH I am insulted on your behalf. That REALLY pisses me off.

I'm fortunate not to have gone through anything like that. I don't think I'd handle it well. lol

I am glad you're better, though :)
