Celebrity news is the lowest form of news. Even people who hate sports and think sports news is worthless have to agree with this. I can understand having heroes and being fascinated with the minutia of their lives, because there are actual reasons why those people became your heroes in the first place. But celebrity journalists, who are simply fascinated with celebrities as a group, regardless of the individual praiseworthy traits that made them celebrities in the first place, really piss me off. They'll talk about Al Gore, Angelina Jolie, and J.K. Rowling all with the same vapid grin as they discuss nothing more than how they looked strolling down the red carpet. It's like they take all of the traits that make the celebrities unique and interesting, and ignore them all in favor of discussing their clothes and whom they are rumored to be porking at the moment.
