Subject: Car Recommendation of the Week

We had quite a jolt last night. My daughter had just picked up the grandlynx from our house after work and was headed home (about 20 miles away) when a deer ran in front of her on the highway. Completely tore up the front end of her car, but she and the grandlynx were unharmed. Whew. She was driving her new Honda Fit, bought less than 2 months ago, less for the safety factor than the fact that it could accomodate her horse-sized dog. Amazingly, the car was still driveable, and Mr. L was able to drive it to her house. So, if you're looking for a new car to drive to work, you could do a lot worse than a Honda Fit.

No word yet on the fate of the deer. There were two rangers looking for it when we passed back that way.
