People have a natural curiosity to know the "why" behind things like this. Reports have come out that he had been declared mentally ill in the past. Well, of course he was mentally ill. A mentally healthy person wouldn't do something like that.

I'm reminded of the old SNL skit where Buckwheat was shot. The reporters went to the shooter's hometown and asked everyone about him.

Reporter: What was he like?

Person: Oh, he was a nice boy. He would always help out those who needed it.

Reporter: Can you believe that he shot Buckwheat?

Person: Oh yes. That's all he ever talked about.
