He smiled as he felt her drift off to sleep and he knew he should be allowing his body to do the same but for the moment he was content to just hold her. He had no idea how long he laid there, watching her sleep but he did know that the hour was drawing late and he should be resting...yet now he just wanted to speak to his brother. His jaw set a little as he thought about the power that wee Bree had displayed, it set his nerves on edge and made him concerned for his brothers welfare. The lass was Dane's mate, he knew that, but suddenly wasn't all that comfortable with his brother being around the lass by himself. What if Dane said something to upset her or hurt her feelings? Would she just make him combust as well? He wouldn't be able to bare it if something were to happen to Evie or his brother and Bree...well she posed a danger, a threat that he didn't understand and that did not sit well with him at all. Sighing, he shifted, careful not to wake up his own mate and climbed out of the bed to go to the bar and pour a glass of whiskey for himself. He'd give Dane a bit more time to rest and then he would see about having a wee talk with his elder brother.
