(She nodded, thinking that his brother sounded like a much better laird than Fearghus had ever been.. her father had been a black dragon, easy to temper and sharp of tongue and fist. She didn't think he had possessed a single compassionate bone in his massive body, not if he could kill his own daughter because she wasn't perfect. She took his offer of comfort and turned willingly into his arms, snuggling her dancer's frame into his body and molding herself against him. He was warm, soft and hard all at the same time, and covered with the most intriguing dusting of red-gold hair. He was all man, and she was enough woman to recognize that. She sighed a breath against his collar and turned her face so that her cheek rested against his chest and her hand lay fisted by her chin against his pec.) He sounds like a good Laird, your brother. (She replied softly, closing her eyes again as she rested beside him, taking deeply of the warmth he offered her. Her eyes opened at his question and she pulled back just a little to look at him, her expression slightly quizzical.) No. (She said in the sort of tone that implied that she had just realized that fact. She hadn't really thought about her past, or her childhood.. she hadn't considered that she had missed out on something, or been denied something.. she was just glad to be alive and safe. Her clan had given her nothing but fear and pain, and she was better off without them.) But I am glad that you have happy memories of your own. (She said, without having to ask if he did have them or not. She could tell, this man might be deaf, but he was strong of character and spoke fondly of his Laird.. his brother.)
