He smiled a little when she wrapped her own body around him in turn, letting him hold her but holding him back also. A low breath escaped his lips as he nuzzled the base of her neck, smiling gently at her. I doonae get complimented very often. He explained almost hesitantly before he shrugged and smiled again, nudging at her shoulder. I am glad ye like my home away from home, lass. He had a feeling if he did have a mate, he would spend the majority of his time here. Maybe his brother would even give him these lands and he could make his own keep off a bit in a clearing, leaving this area for just him and his mate. His eyes closed at that thought, since when had the thought of a mate even crossed his mind? His brow furrowed a little and he lipped at her skin just out of distraction, a sweet smile still curving up his mouth without revealing any teeth. He was so soft and tender with her, like he was with hurt animals or crying children. She was damaged and that killed him, he wished he had been there to protect her all those years ago, to keep anyone from hurting her. If he could, he would leave her here in this dream world and go off to hunt her clan down, destroying them with tooth and claw and then come back to her so she could be whole again with no hauntings of the past. He sighed deeply, closing his eyes. His life was full of 'I wish's and 'if only's. For once, he just wanted to go out and do something instead of just thinking about it...
