(The very fact that he was talking about the future and the idea of the other clan.. well, it drove the excitement even further into her. She was grinning down at him, her hair framing her pretty features as he pushed her back and leaned up.) (She couldn't wait to bring justice down on the silver dragon Laird.. couldn't wait to see the sweet princess Evie avenged for the wrongs done to her. And to have all those tenants look to Kaden for guidance.. oh, it was all so amazingly exciting. She set her hands on her own thighs and sat back a little, still stradling him, her gaze gleaming in the night.) I mean, ye've only just taken the change, Kaden.. ye are nae fully black yet. Think of how much more ye've to learn and how powerful ye will be. (She sighed, tipping her head a little, wondering why he had gone quiet all of a sudden. Her brows were furrowing just as he said he was leaving in two days time, and then she realized what was bothering him. He wanted to know her decision, but he didn't want to pressure her. She smiled knowingly, watching him with quiet emerald eyes.) In two days time we depart. (She said softly, having made her decision. She'd known right away, but had been too afraid to admit it.. that she trusted and needed him so much that she was willing to give up all that she knew to join him on this venture. She was willing to give up the prospect of additional males vying for her hand.. all because she wnated to be at his side. The irony in it all was that she never once looked at him as a potential mate.. he was just Kaden. Her protector. Her best friend and confidant.) Oh! (She snapped, her usual habit when she remembered something important.) Evie says that all black dragons have a demon protector.. since they weave spirit and such. When ye are full black, ye might have a demon of yer own! (She grinned.) Evie's demon is a wee chitty.. (She often used the old highland term for kitty, and called the panther that because morpheus hated to be called a kitty.. but had made his form smaller than a panther.) Tis said that a demon will take a form that is pleasing to his counterpart.. and that he is an extension of yer very soul. (She was excited about this too.. another part of kaden for her to love.)
