somewhere
along the way
when i was not paying
much attention-
you creeped under my skin.

sometime
between then and now
things changed a bit
between us-
love to hate?
is there so much of a difference?

somehow
despite it all
you lost your razor-sharp
edge towards me-

i must not have been paying close enough attention.
