Angie,

If the birds are getting into dryer vents and building nests, you do need to resolve this problem right away to avoid a potential fire. Contact your local animal control and ask for a list of Nuisance Wildlife Control Technicians in your area. They have devices that birds cannot get through if installed properly.

Again, do not wait to resolve this and do not use any material over the vents that is not approved for use on dryer vent exhaust.
