I am willing to succeed.

I really like this one. If you really think about it, how often and too readily, are we willing to accept failure? Fighting to recover and maintaining recovery involve changes that none of us like to make but are necessary if we are to get better and grow. Old thoughts and habits die hard and are comfortable to retreat to - for a moment. But that moment quickly diminishes when the frustration, anger and sadness of allowing ourselves to fall back yet again surface. The old problems remain and nothing is solved. Learning to be good to yourself, reward yourself, be proud of yourself and love yourself are part of the recovery process and take time to evolve. The "One Day At A Time" philosophy works when you work it and don't forget to pat yourself on the back for each step you achieve toward a healthier self. That's success!
