courtney,

your bruising could be a side effect of starvation if that's the case--like some side effects are pale skin, very visible veins, yellow nails, easily bruising and so forth. but the way you describe them sounds like they could be a little more serious--people who are anemic bruise extremely easily, and bruise often, sometimes even to the touch. i would get a blood test to find out if you could be anemic. i'm actually making an appt. to do the same thing (blood test), because i feel weak very often. they'll test your electrolytes and body chemistry and things that like--also they can find out if you have some sort of vitamin deficiency or iron deficiency, which could result in anemia. so make an appointment--you'll feel better once you know what's wrong! (if anything)

take care and happy holidays =)
