Becky is right. It takes a little time for your body to get used to that amount of food but then your metabolism will catch up with you.
Also if you drink a lot of water or eat a lot of salt you can gain (which is only water weight so you lose it as soon as you cut salt)
If you are having your period: woman weigh up to 5 lbs more when having their period, that is waterweight too, after your period it goes away by itself.

If this is all not the case and you are really gaining by eating 1200 cals then you really do have a serious underweight. The only way you can significally gain for more than a week by eating 1200 cals you must be so underweight that it is very dangerous. The reason you are gaining then is because your body doesnt want to die. I really dont want to be harsh, but this is how it is.

So stick to 1200 like becky said, your body does get used to it and you will stop gaining. (I promise) You know that you are not as fat as you think you are right? (like all of us lol)

If I may ask, what are your stats now?
