okay, i'm very late for this because i just found it at the bottom of the page-- and deb- i couldnt understand anything you were saying- LOL! i'm not too smart with scientific terms like that but i do have a question if it's not too late....i too may have fallen into beleiving some myths....here's a big concern of mine: about the body eating it's own organs (heart, kidneys, etc.)-- can that only happen when you're underweight? i mean, FIRST your body would eat all of it's fat (which obviously would make you underweight) THEN go for your organs, after all the fat is gone, correct? that is a huge concern of mine....right now my weight is between 100-105 which isn't really unhealthy for my height, but i always have "relapses", starve for 2 weeks, eat for 1 week, etc....sometimes the starving can even continue for a month or more, but i guess my point is, it cant get to my muscles until all the fat is gone, right? i mean until you're medically "in the danger zone" from ematiation (i'm in the danger zone less than 100) so if i'm above 100, even if i'm technically starving myself, it will not eat my muscles?....if anyone could answer me that'd be great ....thanks =)
