I know you said you were feeling better, Becky and that's great but for FUTURE, try practicing some techniques while you are still feeling better and not so stressed. That way, when the stress hits, you won't be trying something new and getting twice as frustrated if it doesn't work for you because you're trying so hard. These things take practice to get into them, so it's actually best to start when not stressed.
