and yet the FDA has still yet to accept it and allow its production in products in the U.S. They've been blocking efforts since the mid-70's (including book burnings - YES book burnings on the subject) but legislation has finally allowed some businesses to get around the searches and seizures the FDA did. Celestial Seasonings tea was a target some years back! Go figure ~ sugar and artificial sweetners are big business with big bucks at stake!
