Knees were pulled up to her chest, pink painted toes sticking out from beneath the quilts edge. Her gaze seemed rivited there, slender arms crossing over her knees. All she could manage to do was shake her head slowly from side to side in response to his question. She should have known he'd hear her thoughts. The connection they held through their love for each other was already strong, but add the sharing of blood between them from last night and she should have known he'd hear her thoughts no matter where he was at. Tears welled in her eyes, femme moving her arms and placing the back of her hands against her knees. Forehead was rested against her palms to hide the tears sliding down her pale cheek, a curtain of brown hiding any part of her face from view. Fingers threaded through her hair, the silky strands not even felt in her current state of mind. Finally, as if feeling the need to say something, her soft voice spilled forth though it was a bit muffled.

I...I didn't want to lose you...again.

Watching her, a small tinge of Pitty in his eyes. He scoots closer to her and wraps his arms around her, pulling his toward her. I told you i'd never leave, not again. Holding her closely, tightly, protectivly, as if he would never ever let anything happen to her. His hand slides up and down her side, trying to calm her slightly. He didnt want her to cry. One hand reaches for her chin and he lifts it, looking at her. I will never leave again.. He kisses her lightly, only to help her realize that her loved her and didnt want to leave her. He pulls her even closer, just holding her.

Jewel allowed him to pull her into the circle of his arms, feeling safe despite her worries. She knew he had said he wouldn't leave her ever again, but that was before she'd gotten pregnant again. His hands running up and down her sides distracted her, causing her to siver some. She didn't fight him when he gently urged her to look at him, lips softening beneath his own. But even with his reassurances, she couldn't help but keep worrying. Looking back over everything that had transpired between the two of them, how could she not? When it all began, he didn't want her because she was human and he might hurt her. When she'd gotten pregnant, he hadn't seemed very happy at the prospect of fatherhood though she knew he had tried. Then Isis had been born, and even if he'd tried a little to be a father, he'd avoided both her and Isis more than he'd been with them.

He'd been angry at her the one time after Isis' birth when she'd wanted to be with him. He'd lost control as well as gotten her pregnant again. In the process of losing that baby, she'd nearly died. He'd saved her by making her what she was now, but he'd hated it. Both her and himself. It was very very soon after that that he'd left. Unable to touch her, unable to barely look at her or Isis. How was it that after all of that she could not worry he'd do the same things all over again? Jewel shivered again as the blanket slipped from her shoulder, nestling her head on his chest. Arms hugged her knees though, as if afraid to get too close. Last night had been wonderful, but all she could remember was Aoshi the way he used to be. That was the one that didn't like touching or kissing, and old habits died hard for her. It might take her a while to get used to him being okay with everything. Squeezing her eyes shut, Jewel spoke again.

I'm sorry Aoshi, but...well...

If her heart could beat, it would probably be raging right now. Again she shivered, fear flickerig inside of her. Aoshi was normally a quiet person, but when he got angry he could scare the hell out of people. He'd been angry with her before, more than once. And it wasn't something she desired much to see again. Swallowing hard, the young woman forced herself to say what was on her mind. If she didn't, it might tear them apart.

If you don't want it, we don't have to have it...

Her voice faded off as she finished speaking, hiding her thoughts from him as best she could. It was better he didn't know how she felt about all of this, right? That way he wouldn't just say or do a certain thing in order to make her feel okay. She could be happy just being with him, but it always seemed hard to make Aoshi happy. She desperately wanted to, so no matter what, she would do what she had to...

Just holding her tightly, almost rocking her gently. He felt all the love in the world for this woman and he would show it.. he didnt have to hide it anymore. His hand brushes her face wih compassion as he listens to her speak. Shaking his head lightly he sighs. No.. I do want it.. I want to be able to be a father, a good one.. I want you to be happy. I would do anything for you.. Theres no reason for you to be sorry.. Kissing her forehead and her cheek and again on her lips. He didnt know what else to do to make her happy.

It was amazing how safe she felt in his arms, as if nothing bad could touch her. Strange too, considering their past. But she was going to try and forget all of that as best she could. She knew Aoshi was trying to be different, and she appreciated that more than anything. It only made her love him all the more to know he was doing this just for her. His words soothed her, the femme relaxing in his arms as he gently kissed her skin. She pulled away a little, placing her cheek to his chest once again. Nose was nuzzled against his chest, her words spoken within his mind as a kiss was placed against his shoulder.

I am happy Aoshi...and you will be a good father. To both this baby and to Isis.

Her kisses began to rove, making their way from his shoulder to his neck. She hovered for a moment, warm breath fanning out against the flesh at the base of his neck. Tip of her tongue darted out, tickling against the soft skin. Velvety lips came forth, placing a loving kiss to where she'd drunk from him last night. A slow throbbing started in her fangs, signaling her to bite. Instead, she pulled away and attempted to sooth her breathing as it had become a little more labored in her sudden desire to feed on him again...

Moving his head to the side exposing himself to her as she placed her mouth over his neck. But when she pulls away he sighs lightly and lives with it. Looking down at her he grins lightly as he can see her trying to calm her desires. Deciding not to dwell on it, he opens his mouth to talk. When do you beleive the child will be born?

Jewel started, having been staring at his neck when he spoke. Sapphire spheres met with jade, minx clenching her jaw for a moment. Her fangs had grown quite a bit, and they were throbbing in encouragement. She should have eaten more while she was out instead of just an emaciated old homeless man. Sighing softly, she tried ignoring her needs and instead focused on Aoshi's question. Minx licked her lips, accidently cutting her soft tongue open. Wincing, she swallowed the blood the began to fill her mouth and did her best to answer past her enlargened fangs.

I'm not sure...Isis took a normal nine months even though she grew really fast once she was born. But I had been human back then, so I really don't know.

He nods in understanding, his green eyes once again taking in the color of the bedspread. He wassnt sure weather he was nervous about the child, or just anticipating himself as a father, and trying to make things work. He wanted nothing more right now, then to see this all fall toegther and work out as everyone wanted it to.

Vixen's gaze again fell to Aoshi's throat, her breath catching for a moment in her chest. She'd been in such a damn hurry to get back to Aoshi that she hadn't fed as she should have earlier. Her stomach was aching, her fangs throbbing. She should probably go back out again to hunt, at least for the baby if not for herself. But she didn't want to leave Aoshi again. Swallowing softly, she tore her gaze away from his neck and looked to the fluttering curtains that hung in the window. Licking her lips, femme pulled the blanket tighter about herself. She needed to try and think of something else, get her mind off of her hunger.

What should we name him?

He would take her out to hunt again in good time, but right now the childs future was first at hand. A Name.. I havent thought of a name... Looking up at Jewel, his eyes thinking. Jewel nodded her head at his question. She was very sure it was a boy. Just as she'd been very sure right away that Isis was a girl. Fingers fiddled with the blanket that was wrapped about her naked body, her gaze focused on the coverlet just as Aoshi's seemed to have been a few seconds ago. A sudden dizziness washed over her, causing her to sway slightly. She caught herself though, hoping Aoshi hadn't seen. Tongue licked at her lips, femme speaking to cover up the odd feeling inside of her.

Yes, it's a boy. I just thought...well, I named Isis so I thought you would like to name him.
