Date Posted: 13:57:21 10/26/04 Tue Name: Esarhaddon Age: 21 Race: Hittite Rank: King Looks: Taken out of his required years of service with only half his term served, Esarhaddon is still well fit from his training and campaigns. His frame is strong, but not heavy in the way his father's was and he even in the year he has spent in the palace eating lavishly he has not gained much weight. Fiery brown eyes peer out from beneath unruly stands of pitch black hair. The thick locks adorning his head fall down in a loose ponytail to his shoulders, oiled back to keep it from his eyes. Chisel features form his face, a strong jaw below high cheekbones and arched brows. He strikes a strong figure, but a rather common one which he hides with fine clothes and plasters, molding himself into an exotic visage that has him well known and spoken of in the courts of his city and others. Personality: Esarhaddon in his young life has already become well known for his temper, a vicious youth still lead by youthful emotions and rash decisions. Contrary to that popular opinion of him, he leans toward a more calm manner in the house, at least among those he is familiar with. He despises insult to his family, expecially his dearly decessed father. Since his first days he was cultured and trained to wear the crown, but none expected it to be so soon. There was controsery after his father's death about him taking the throne, but the boy has always been strong willed and fought his way through the questioning advisors to become King. These events, his father's death and the betrayl of his advisors as he saw it, has made the young man distrustful and bitter. While he has rarely even noticed the presence of his mother, she did pass on to him his deep religious fanaticism, to the point of near obsession. Large portions of his time are spend in worship, though he has never felt the need to force his religion on others following the Hittie tradition. Besides his religious interests, he has a pencance for the plays brought to the palace from conquered lands and commissions actors to perform and entertain him.
