Walk your dog (or a neighbours' dog if you don't have one!) , chase your kids, play ball with friends, mow the lawn. Anything that moves your limbs is not only a fitness tool, it's a stress buster. Think 'move' in small increments of time. It doesn't have to be an hour in the gym or a 45-minute cardiovascular class or body pump or kickboxing. Move more and feel better! Cut the Fat Don't eat the obvious fat in your diet such as fried foods, burgers and other fatty meats. Eat dairy products like cheese, cottage cheese, milk and cream low fat versions. Nuts and sandwich meats, mayonnaise, margarine, butter and sauces should be eaten in limited amounts and even then in their low fat verions. Most are available in lower fat versions. Reduce Stress Stress busters come in many forms. Some techniques recommended by experts are to think positive thoughts. Spend 30 minutes a day doing something you like. (i.e., go back to number one above!, exercise is a great stress reducer, Soak in a hot tub; walk on the beach or in a park; read a good book; visit a friend; play with your dog; listen to soothing music; watch a funny movie. Get a massage, a facial or a haircut. Meditate. Count to ten before losing your temper or getting aggravated. Avoid difficult people when possible. Stop Smoking All the experts agree on this one. Ever since 1960 when it was announced that smoking was harmful to your health, people have been reducing their use of tobacco products. Just recently, we've seen a surge in smoking in adolescents and teens. Warn your children of the false romance or 'tough guy' image of smokers. Find ways to quit smoking hypnosis, support groups and even prescription medicine such as Zyban is available to help you. Reduce your exposure to Pollution Not everyone can live in a smog-free environment, but we can all avoid smoke-filled rooms, high traffic areas, breathing in highway fumes and exercising near busy thoroughfares. Exercise outside when the smog rating is low. Exercise indoors in air conditioning where air quality is good. Plant lots of shrubbery in your yard. It's a good pollution deterrent. If you ride a bicycle in traffic, where a small pollution mask over your mouth and nose. Clunk Click every Trip Statistics show that the wearing of seat belts add to longevity and help alleviate potential injuries in car crashes. Floss Your Teeth Harvard Medical School studied longevity and found one of the most important contributing factors was daily flossing! Flossing and brushing your teeth daily can make your RealAge as much as 6.4 years younger. These studies make a direct connection between longevity and teeth flossing. Nobody knows exactly why. Perhaps it's because people who floss tend to be more health conscious than people who don't? Maintain a Positive Mental Outlook There's a definitive connection between living well and healthily and having a cheerful outlook on life. Yes, keep on smiling and laughing! Pick Your Parents Well ! The link between genetics and health is a powerful one. You can't pick your parents, but just because one or both of your parents died young in ill health doesn't mean you can't counteract the genetic pool handed you. Back pain is the second most common reason for doctor visits in the U.S. The causes of lower back pain are numerous. Some of the more common causes of lower back pain are: Sudden injury to the back such as may occur in an auto accident, fall, sports, or other manner. Gynecological conditions such as endometriosis, menstrual cramps, fibroid tumors, and pregnancy are sometimes the cause of lower back pain in women. Stress to the muscles, nerves, or ligaments in the lower back. Certain jobs such as those that require repetitive movements, sitting in chairs that are not ergonomically proper for your back, or standing for long periods of time often increase back stress and cause lower back pain. Arthritis, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, and other bone or joint diseases often cause lower back pain. Not getting enough physical activity, being sedentary, or being overweight often stresses the lower back causing pain. Slipped discs, pinched nerves, sciatica, aging, and infections are other common causes of lower back pain. Smoking. More than 1300 physicians were followed from time of graduation (1948-1964) from John Hopkins University, some for over fifty years. The researchers found that smoking history, hypertension, and coronary artery disease (risk factors for atherosclerosis, occlusion of the arteries) are significantly associated with development of lower back pain. Because there are so many causes of lower back pain, some serious such as spinal tumors, if you experience lower back pain see your health care provider for diagnosis. Size 8 Lime Green "Little Attitudes" crowning dress 3. 11 Brand New Pageant Medallions: Red, white, and blue neck ribbons-- Has white button insert with crown and red roses. Purchased from Tony's Trophies and did not use all that I ordered. 4. Not clothing related, but we have everything you need to redecorate your little princesses room!! Adorable Princess Twin Comforter with matching bed skirt, sham, 3 piece matching sheet set (fitted, flat, pillowcase), matching Princess valance, Disney Princess pop-up hamper, a Hot Pink Barbie Feathered Moon Chair, and a lamp. All these items are still in like new condition. I bought them for my daughter in 2007. She only slept on the bed set about 10 times total. In fact, the sheets are still "crisp". Coral skirt with a begonia pink bodice that is covered with coral lace and appliques. Decorated with many gross of Swarovski stones: fireopal, hyacinth, padparadsha, light rose, light rose ab, hyacynth ab, sun, sprinkling of peridot, brooch includes ab pears with above named stones (all Partytime stones (which are plastic) removed and replaced with Swarovksi stones). Very pretty gown - worn one time only and the judges loved this dress. Gown underskirt hem since straightened by a professional seamstress. Non-smoking home and no tanning stains. Made of red stretch velvet/velour with faux white fur trim and a small maribou ball on the hat. Three pieces: The hat, the top, and the skirt - including the black vinyl belt with ab stoned buckle. The gallery photo shows how it should be worn, my dd wore it backwards because she wanted the top higher in the front. We are original owners and purchased this past season for a national Christmas pageant that we didn't attend. So, my dd wore to a local pageant and for a brief royalty appearance with Santa. No tanner on, so no stains. This will not fit her again next year, so we thought we would see if anyone is out there looking ahead for next year. ;) The skirt has an unstretched waist of about 24" - can esily stretch several more inches, my dd has a 26-27" waist. 17" long with a 3" fur strip around the bottom. I don't know what the bottom of the skirt looks like under the fur, but if the skirt needed to be longer, it might be able to be moved down - again, I haven't seen the bottom of the skirt under the fur, so I do not know. It is a pull-on skirt with belt loops for the belt. The belt is an adjusting belt-no holes or hardware beyond the buckle. The top is 12" unstretched from the top of the strap straight down to the bottom of the top - lying flat. The front is 6" from the top to bottom of the center, and 4 3/4" long on the side seam - under the arm. Across the front - at the arm pits, seam to seam is 15" and at the bottom is 11 3/4" seam to seam across the front. (Unstretched measurements). The back center top to bottom is 7 1/4". Across the back from seam to seam at the arm pit area is approx. 14". Again, lots of stretch side to side on this top, just like the skirt. The fur can remain or be removed that is at the straps - there are real straps underneath, the fur is simply tacked on. Lace up front with metal grommets. Lots of grow room in this one. As for this outfit, my daughter wears a 5-6. We were going to hold onto until next year at Christmas, but we would like to thin out the closets, so we can take our time selling and put it out there now. Could be perfect for those holiday photos that need to be taken a little before the season comes along, or to be put away for your dd to grow into. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZpageantroyalty Thinking a zebra animal print photo shoot? Here's a few items to get that theme going! Or... looking for a zebra themed top/set? This lot includes THREE tops, two of them being top-of-the-line: Alberto Makali and BCBG. The Alberto Makali top is a size 4. Lime green, lilac, and zebra print trim at the color and on tab across the back. Could easily be worn as a sleeveless top or a vest. Purchased it from another E-Bayer who used it for arrival day at a pageant. We had it cleaned, was too small for my dd when we bought it. Zip up front. (Or wear the zebra print jacket/top over it.) Very good gently-used condition. The BCBG Maxazria was also purchased from another E-Bayer who said she purchased it on Rodeo Drive. Well, while we cannot prove that claim, we do know this is a really unique sleeveless sweater turtleneck top - trimmed in satin ribbon and rabbit fur. It is a size XSmall (more like a small) and all black. We did have it dry cleaned also and my daughter did then wear this one very briefly for a photo shoot. (The added rabbit fur and ribbon trim matches this very well and could be used on the hat, in the hair, to make other accessories - sew around the top of the zebra print jacket/top (or another top) and make it look like a set. The possibilites are endless. Very good gently-used condition. (The trim is expensive alone - and is unused and new.) And the Rave City, also bought from an E-Bayer, like the other two tops, had drycleaned. This top was never worn by my dd. Can be used as a jacket or a top - can be worn over either of the other two. It zips up and is a medium. Is like a thin velour - perfect for any season. Included with the above three tops is a Harley Davidson brand hat. Original owner and gently worn once for a rodeo pageant and another time for photo shoot. It has been kept in a hat box. It is a size small. CUTE! And a handmade, never used zebra print barette (made out of the zebra trim being included.) A choker necklace bought at Claire's - black velvet with a zebra print flower is included along with 32" of zebra print trim in faux pony fur and 125" of satin ribbon and rabbit fur trim in black. Make your own accessories or add to them to make them uniquely yours. |

Coral skirt with a begonia pink bodice that is covered with coral lace and appliques. Decorated with many gross of Swarovski stones: fireopal, hyacinth, padparadsha, light rose, light rose ab, hyacynth ab, sun, sprinkling of peridot, brooch includes ab pears with above named stones (all Partytime stones (which are plastic) removed and replaced with Swarovski stones). Very pretty gown - worn one time only and the judges loved this dress. Gown underskirt hem since straightened by a professional seamstress. Non-smoking home and no tanning stains.
