This really is a great idea, Billy. I'm glad you took the initiative to set this up. Here's a fun little weather fact that I've learned recently. Should Ivan hit Florida, it will only be the second year since 1900 for three tropical storms to hit Florida in one season. The last time was sometime in the sixties. I can't remember the year.

Thanks Lauren. I'm currently living in Annapolis, and we have been under tornado watches since about noon today (the latest one expires at midnight). The amount of rotation still associated with frances is amazing. Helicity values near the center of the storm early were 700!! I don't remember any other depression/remnants having such good tropical characteristics this long over land.
