don't let john near that puter with Win XP!!!!!!!!!!

we often think it was a mistake upgrading to win ME but we kind of got thrown into it last year when we did our puter upgrades. we FINALLY got it working the way we like. no more operating system upgrades and NO XP!!!! win 98 is NOT a bad choice of a bad lot, so stick with it if you can :).

we think dave would commisserate with john. he had a heck a time getting our puter fixed after reformatting. and we too had to put sassy's puter in the shop. dave has learnt so many TRICKS to get things working. it is a black art for sure.

you need to blockade your puter and not let john near it :). after all, if a puter does what you NEED, why upgrade it? we ran for YEARS on a 286 with a pitiful hard disk (tho that was purely economics!). but at the time, it DID do what we needed, so why change? dave fried some parts of that puter, but that's a story for another time *giggles* - and he can tell it!
