we hope you are having a lovely holiday. we got the lovely pictures, thank you! we are horribly busy right now with a meeting for school tomorrow and our youngest's graduation on tuesday. however, wednesday should be good and we'll try to post them up then! hope everyone can wait *fingers crossed*.

we are sorry to hear about mel's diagnosis. that's got to be sucky for a teen. we've been dealing with it since our early twenties, and that seemed too early for a debilitating illness. here's hoping it will not be too severe for her.

we are presently lumped in the "undifferentiated connective tissue disease" basket, after friday's meeting with our rheumatologist. he can't say anything more until our visit to the eye specialist in august (long waiting lists here right now). he admits it could be sjogren's, but can't say so until we have the eye tests.

in either case, he wants us to take plaquenil, this anti-malarial that is used in these UCTD cases (and which he said he would prescribe if we had sjogren's anyway). however, the side effects sound absolutely AWFUL! do you have any experience with this med, or any of your friends? we're really thinking hard about it before committing.

anyway, have to get back to work, but wanted to send lots of love and light to you and the family, and to all our forestden friends.

lots of love,
darktides

p.s. we will try to get those pics up ASAP.
