Subject: He remodeled the bathroom there over three years ago and .....

tossed the tub out the upstairs window. A few days later he moved it over to the side yard and left it there. It rained a day or two after that so hard that the tub filled up with water and then as the water went down, it sucked mud up into the tub. Since then it has rained, snowed, hailed, sleeted, etc. and the mess continued to build up in the tub, including leaves off the trees in the fall. The first month it was there, I asked him about it, and he said his girl friend wanted to make a planter out of it, but he had to clear out some other bushes and trees first where she wanted to put it. Ok, I let it go, as he has been busy doing things to clean up the old house and remodel, paint etc. Last summer I asked about it again, and he said he had to get some tree stumps out of the backyard yet, etc. but he was still planning to make a planter out of it. Well, in the spring this year his daughter and her boyfriend moved in the house too, and in May I asked the girl's boyfriend about it, told him it was getting really unhealthy and the state was warning about West Nile Fever, saying you should get rid of any standing water on your property to cut down on mosquitoes and such. He said he and his friends were going to take out some trees that weekend and they'd take care of it then. Well a couple of weeks later, they finally got some of the dead trees out of the yard, but the tub was still there. About a month ago, I saw the boy in the yard again and asked about the tub, as it was right next to the property line and pretty close to where my dog can reach, but he only peed on it, didn't try to drink it. 8^) He said that his friends were going to help him that weekend again. right! Two or three weeks later, they did come cut up more of the downed trees and carted them away, but the tub was still there. I never could seem to catch up with the guy who owns the place as he is always in a hurry, going in or out so by the time I'd see him he would be gone. Well, about a week and a half ago, he was rebuilding the side porch so I went over to talk to him. When I told him that the state was issuing warnings on tv and radio about getting rid of standing water because of the wn fever thing, he just laughed it off, literally just laughed and ignored it. Well, a couple of weeks ago, another neighbor told me they had reported it to the city and they were told it would be taken care of last week, but it wasn't. So when the guy from the city came into her place of business last week she told him it was still there and getting worse. He said that Mon. he would see that it was taken care of, so I guess they paid a visit nextdoor that morning. Well, about noontime, my Data Dogg started barking at the back door and I looked out and the boy was shovelling the mucky sludge out of the tub and tossing it into my yard and driveway. I was only in a nightshirt, so I wasn't going out there like that. I went up and go dressed and when I came down, he had shovelled all of it into my yard and dumped all the water in my yard and driveway too. It was as far as 25 feet onto my property. I lost it but good. Neither the boy who had been shovelling the muck nor the guy who owns the place were anywhere out there to be seen at the time, and the truck was gone, (Guess they were hauling some more junk to the dump), so I got out my insecticide sprayer attachment for the hose and filled it with Clorox, (Javex to you folks from Canada), and started soaking the yard to kill the germs. I had to use two containersful to really soak the area good. By that time the jerks had come back and were working on the porch, and I was so mad I wanted to spray them with bleach and disinfect them. I bit my tongue for the moment because I didn't want to say or do the wrong thing to touch him off, (he gets violent and beats on his girlfriend sometimes when drinking), but then the neighbor on the west side came outside, so I put the sprayer down and went to talk to her for a bit, but I was so mad over this jerk's actions I started yelling at the top of my lungs about the inconsiderate @$$#0!% < use your imagination there>, that threw filthy, germy sludge all over my yard and contaminated it so my dog couldn't go out there for at least two days now, as we now had to wait for the bleach to be out of there too or he could get sick from that. Well, I went back and was working with the second bottle of bleach when the other neighbor who lives on the west side of me came home from work and asked what I was doing. Well, I started out being half calm telling her but the rage took over again, and I really blew off steam about what happened all over again. He heard me and the boy did too as they were sitting on the porch deck putting screws in it, and I am sure that the neighbors within 500 feet in every direction did too, but at that point I didn't care if they heard me in Texas or Australia, because my blood was boiling. Neither of them said a word, just kept working and sneaking a look my way now and then. I was so angry at that point that if they had come over to say something to me I think I would have decked the 6 foot idiot with one punch. There is no doubt that he did it on purpose because the kid was laughing while he was shovelling it out of the tub when I looked outside, and it was tossed all over the side of my house and garage too. Why? Because they assumed that I was the one who went to the health department about it, because I had spoken to them about it 3 times. My approach to this type of thing has always been to talk to the person first, give them a chance to do something about it, but if they do not do anything, I then warn them that I will notify the city about it if it's not taken care of soon. I personally don't care what my neighbors do in their yards or what they have there as long as it's not a health threat, a danger to someone else or creating so much noise as to be annoying or in the middle of the night when others are sleeping. It took them several months to get rid of a fridge they had put there when they first moved in. I finally told them it was illegal to leave it there with the door on it, as a child could get into it and suffocate. His first reaction to that was, "We don't have small kids here and nobody else's should be coming into my yard." I told him that may be true, but sometimes small children wander and trespass unwittingly, therefore the state passed a law that says the door must be removed if it's outside unattended. He finally turned it around to face the wall of the house so the door could not be opened, and he then took it away a few months later. (This was not one with a magnetic door either, it was really old, with the old latching mechanism on it, had belonged to the old lady who lived there before.) I've had my fill of this jerk; being neighborly and telling him nicely about things got me nowhere, so the next time I will just call the city to begin with and save time. If he does something to get even, as he did this time, I will call the cops and let them take care of it. There have been a lot of other problems with them since they moved in there about 4 years ago but this was the last straw.

Sorry to vent on you all here, but everytime I think about it I can feel my blood pressure go up, and I just want to scream again. My patience right now is next to nil, so he best not be pushing my buttons for a while.
