As a long time Fireballs devotee (and fellow Fender Jazzmaster player), it has always been glaringly obvious that the Fireballs developed the "surf" music sound well before that sound became linked with the imagery of surfing. There is credit due Mr. Tomsco and Company in any serious history of that genre.
