Subject: Yes! Confirmation of my brilliance :)

Last night an archaeologist from NZ was in Melbourne giving a talk at Monash about the site Qadesh, which is what my thesis is on, and I was thinking "must ask intelligent question".... Ok so I couldn't think of an intelligent questions, but after the talk, I noticed my supervisor, Colin, gesturing wildly at me and doing this google eyes, which I finally worked out meant "come here" (?!) and he introduced me to this other guy who did the topographical surveys of the site. He apparently published an article we don't have yet, and he said he'd send it to us so I could use it. Yes! THEN Colin told me and Amy that we should apply for these two prestigious postgrad research scholarships! One gives you heaps of money and also trains you in academic teaching, and the other I think gives you a research grant O_o It's nice to know he wants us to stay on and that we might be smart enough to get one of the scholarships, but that's pretty scary too! I don't actually feel like I'm that good at it all...

Got another lecture by that archaeologist today for Monash postgrad/honours/staff and I HAVE to think of a good question! I want to be able to reference a "personal communication" in my thesis!
