Oh my god I am still sooo excited! It is so hard to work in this state of excitement! Ok, so details... Well the other person who's going is my friend Amy THANK GOD, I do not have to put up with you-know-who. We've been talking on the phone a lot and screaming at each other...it's really very tiring! The dig goes for about 6 weeks and it's in the Dakhla Oasis, which is in the middle of the SAHARA DESERT O_o west of the river Nile round about in the middle of EGypt. Ha ha!!! We stay in these huge, flat mudbrick houses with lots of bedrooms. there's one for Monash and one for the "american" team which actually includes italians and dutch! And now two Australians! Ha ha!

Tee hee hee!!! After the dig Amy and I are going to travel around EGypt for a couple of weeks too. Oh, and the guy in charge of the American is Roger Bagnall!!! Which means nothing to you guys...but he's a really FAMOUS archaeologist!!! OMG, what the hell am I going to say when I meet him?? Ha ha ha!! We're going to be in the same HOUSE!

Oh and the whole crack about being a 'reformed Christian'...well, we have to fill out this forms for the EGyptian government, and Colin told us to write that we were Christian, cause that causes the least trouble, and to write that we're ceramic analysts and that we work as 'freelancers' to hide the fact that we're students !! We're lying to a foreign government! Entering the country under false pretenses! It's scary but at the same time really really cool! Ha ha!!
