Date Posted: 07:29:14 01/19/05 Wed The majority of today's press published a poll for the possible suitors of the currently vacant role of James Bond. Favourite according to most tabloids was recent Golden Globe winner Clive Owen. The list of Hollywood Superstars also included the usual suspects continuously banded around with the role such as Orlando Bloom, Christian Bale and Colin Farrell. Other names thrown into the pot were former snooker great Dennis Taylor, children's entertainer Andi Peters (Aka The Black Fag), Pantomime Star and 'I'm A Celebrity' winner Joe Pasquale, Kirkstall kebab shop owner Dave Patel-Smyth and Navvies F.C's long serving defender Matthew Long. Long, said to be a great outside bet by William Hill at 16-1 is currently working out at home in the attempt to get 'Buff' for the possible future role. Matthew 22 from Pudsey near Leeds, would also be no stranger to Bond's exuberant role with the ladies, he was spotted only last week exiting Leeds' premier night club Big Lils, with no other than washed up Thailand actress/glamour model Myhousehas Binwashedaway on his arm. When asked to comment about the possibility of been the first Yorkshire Bond, Matthew simply added "There'd be no need for Q's gadgets, I've got my own doctors bag!"
