Subject: You can't use the same bits, Fergie!

Last night, I watched the Tonight Show's tribute to Johnny Carson (which I thought was really nice). After that, I watched a couple minutes of Conan O'Brien. Then, out of curiosity, I flipped over to CBS only to find Ferguson totally ripping off one of Kilby's old bits! Remember he used to "open" for various events like the Democratic National Convention, and he'd stand there with a cigar and a scotch hurling insults at everything and everyone? Well, now it's Ferguson with a glass of champagne. First of all, too effeminate. Second of all, get your own comedy bits! True that Kilby didn't write that bit himself, but the writers need to come up with some new stuff. Copying the old comedy bits just seems too desperate.
