Making a game with Stratagus is not easy, but is probably not the hardest thing either. Basically, I downloaded the Wargus MOD (Stratagus) and installed it (luckily I had the WarCraft CD). When the game was installed and could run, I began modifying absolutely EVERYTHING, including unit specs. It is done with Lua. I don't know anything about Lua, but I just followed the general pattern. The other tricky thing about Stratagus is that you need a good graphical editor, like Paint Shop Pro. It must be able of working with .PNG files, and one has to be able to set color indexes manually. For example, color index 207 represents player color, etc. It also has to be able to set transparencies (at some point it was color index 255). I guess getting Stratagus to work requires some practice, but it can be perfectly accomplished. If you want, you can download Astroseries and start modifying it, or you may as well download Wargus or any of the other MODs from their page (stratagus.org). I hope this information is helpful. Stratagus may have some minor bugs that escape my control.

One final note for those who may ask: Astroseries is an original creation :-)

Good luck on your Star Wars RTS, and May the Force be with you! :D
