Abortion- I don't believe that I personally could have an abortion, but I don't believe that right should be taken away. I believe in a woman's right to choose what happens to her body.
Affirmative Action- I think it was a good idea for awhile, but it's gotten out of hand.
Capital Punishment- Only in cases of mass murder and for serious sex offenders
Censorship- I am strongly, strongly, strongly against censorship. I'm okay with offering the option of an edited CD or movie, but I believe that cenorship is the end of free thought. If we censor books, TV, movies, video games, and other forms of media we begin to take away a person's ability to think for themself.
Creation vs. Evolution- I'll let science answer that... And after saying that I would also like to state for the record that I don't think the two are mutually exclusive. I know for a fact that just because I don't believe in creationism doesn't mean that their aren't plenty of Christians, and persons of other religions for that matter, who believe in both.
Gay Marriage- What consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home is none of my business. I will never be against love.
Government vs. Religion- Seperation of Church and State I don't push my beliefs on anyone else, why should someone be aloud to push their beliefs on me?
Gun Control- People still die because of guns in Europe and Canada don't they? Stronger gun control won't solve the problem.
Homosexuality- I will say it again, I will never be against love.
Legalization of Marijuana- I prefer decriminalization. Put a tax on it and control it the same way alcohol is controlled. The government makes money and the criminals don't. We'd take away alot of terrorist funding if marijuana was legal.
Polution/Deforestation/Green House Gasses- This is something that I haven't learned enough about to formulate an opinion on. I do believe there is more we could be doing but I'll get back to you on this.
Prayer in Schools- Hmmm, I'm not against prayer in schools but I do think that anyone who doesn't want to pray, either because they are uncomfortable praying publicly or because their views differ, should be aloud to leave or choose some other way to express their faith or lack their of.
Sex education- I believe that you cannot teach absitinence and that we should offer sex education along side an abstinence campaign. You cannot teach abstinence, you can only preach it. However, you CAN teach safety.
Stem Cell Research- Again, I haven't learned enough about this to really formulate an opinion but from what I do know I believe that Stem Cell research could be very beneficial.
World Population- I think we could do with losing a couple billion, but I'd rather find cheap, clean energy, and way to find somewhere else in the galaxy to live.
