Well I wouldn't state my opinion on it earlier, but since I can write a whole novel on it now, I'll try to convey my opinion. I'm against Affirmative Action. It was a form of reparation that as Cory and Chase said "got out of hand". I agree that the past history of Caucasions in the US with minorites may not have been something I love to own up to today. But in all honesty, why SHOULD people in our society today STILL be owning up to it? If I'm going to be accused of racism I think it should be of my own actions/doings and not of someone who happened to be the same skin color in the past. Apologies have been made, not everyone will always be happy and this certainly isn't the way to attempt that.
I believe it was KC who said in History class one day that (I'm paraphrasing, sorry KC) 'everyone needs to just grow up and stop trying to make things fair'. Life's not fair. Really I think that people of today should be mature enough to look at people for who they are, not who their grandparents or great grandparents were. I most certainly am not my grandparents... we have LOTS of different views. If people could just see how childish they look trying to play the "he said, she said" game as a way of recompense.

Post Script- KC, if I did not get across your intended message from history, or I misconstrued it at all I'm terribly sorry.
