Disclaimer: this post may offend certain religious persons in our group. It is my opinion and I will stick to it, however if you are very strongly religious it may be best you not read it. Also, it may seem off subject but I believe almost all of these "controversial subjects" can be woven into one big, intricate web involving ignorance and self-righteousness.

Okay, I agree with Heather. I will say here and now that I stopped going to church because of the outright hypocracy that I started seeing when I lost my rose-colored glasses from childhood. (***Note: I only went to 2 churches in town, but I don't think they can all be so siesmically different from eachother as to completely root out all those who go to church every day and act like a whole different person than they were the other 6 days of the week.) Anyway, as soon as I got to HS, I saw the intolerance for people who were different (and yet they preached forgiveness, patience and humility towards others).
Now there are plenty of unreligious individuals in the world that supporot boggotry, racism, and intolerance on minorities, gays or a certain sex, etc. The difference is this: they do not have a bible, book of mormon, or other written documentation stating their opinions for them. They have their own views and they admit to it. If people are going to go with the views from their churches and use them in a debate, they need to stick with it and skip the hypocracy. I'm sick of it.

PS- Feel free to email me if you want to discuss this more, we seem to have changed subjects again, but I wanted to post my views.
