Subject: Missing Ed...

Seems to me that the season finale of Ed tied up a few too many strings for it *not* to be the SERIES finale.

Call it "Gilligan's Island syndrome". The show's gravity is Ed-Carol;Carol-Ed;will they, won't they; can they, should they. Problem is...once the relationship is solved (as we all of course figured Ed would finally end up with Carol), the show loses its' pretense.

If tonight's show was the last cut of Ed...which by the design of it, they were playing it that way, it will be sorely missed. Three years of fresh material, good laughs, audacious chances with comedy. Hope it stays.
