(She arched her brow at his childish comment, though she didn't say anything back since she knew for a fact that his anger was towards Younger and not towards her. She smiled just a little at the thought of turning in her 24 hour report with those words.. that would create quite the stir. She followed him into the living room and settled down onto the floor near the fire beside where Bambi sat, leaning back against the coffee table and stretching her feet out towards the fire to warm them. Absently, she traced one of the black spots on the dog's coat as she sipped her wine thoughtfully, back to herself and behaving the most normal she had all along.. her entire facade had slipped from her. She nodded at his words, turning her head to look up at him through intelligent brown eyes.) I wasn't lying before when I said I don't work for anyone. I'm actually a private contractor.. I design weapons for the government. (She smiled a little bit, sweetly, just trying to make him understand that she wasn't being underhanded or lying to him.. just trying to be a little more real with him.) I work directly under Commander Bratton.. so I really don't answer to anyone but him. Younger came to me and asked me to take up this mission because he knew I needed the money.. I didn't have any further information about the agents involved. But, yes.. I do feel like I have been fooled all along and it does feel like.. a kick in the nuts. (She smiled at the words, taking a drink from her glass, then another to follow it. A deep sigh escaped her.) I wish I had never agreed.. but then some other mercenary would be on the case and you might not have caught them in time.
