Subject: Great speech....now what?

Do you remember that powerful and moving speech that William Wallace made to his men just before engaging the King of England in battle? ( Mel Gibson played the role of William Wallace in Braveheart).

He makes this powerful speech, moving the hearts of his men, calling them sons of scotland, and giving them a place in history. After a few minutes of this powerfully moving and very masculine speech, one of the men in the group says to another..."Great speech, now what?" The other man responds by saying..."I don't know about you, but I'm going to pick a fight...."

Let me ask you this question. What will you do once you hear the Word of God spoken in your life? Will you just sit there or will you go and pick a fight with the devil?

Now don't get me wrong. I am not talking about going out and looking for the devil everywhere you turn, that would be foolish and it would be done our of a vain attempt to be masculine. It takes the battle out of God's hands and puts it in yours. You will lose quickly if you do that.

Rather, what I am saying is, when you hear the Word of God, will you just let it sit in your life or are you going to get serious about taking back what the devil has stolen?

The scriptures tell us, "The kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force..."

You cannot be slothful or a pacifist in the kingdom of God simply because Satan is not. You have to get serious about this situation because Satan is serious and he wants to see you defeated and beaten. But look what Jesus said....

" I have come that you may have life and have it abundantly."

Satan's objective is to have you live in bondage. How are you going to live? Free or in bondage? Jesus paid the price for your freedom and not to take advantage of it is to make light of His sacrifice on the cross. His death means nothing to you if you don't grab hold of this and take your rightful place of authority over the enemy and live like you are the son or daughter of the king!

Prince Charles and his sons, certainly don't act like they live in poverty do they? No, they pretty much do what they want. Although I don't see much that impresses me from their actions. But if I see a man or woman of God, I would expect their actions to be like that of Christ. And sometimes, we have to become violent, in a godly way, and take authority over the things that are ungodly. We may have to make our own spiritual whips and run out the demonic money changers of others lives that are taking advantage of them. Of course, we cannot physically do this, but we can through prayer, worship and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and exercising our authority over the spiritual wickedness in high places.

You have to know who you are in Christ and what your authority is in this world. Jesus said, "All power and authority has been given to me and I now give it to you..."

We are to DO WHAT CHRIST DID and not shrink back from it.

Do you know someone who is sick? Get some anointing oil and go lay hands on them.

Do you know someone oppressed of the devil? Take a brother or sister in Christ and cast out those devils. You don't need a catholic priest to do this. You need to go pentecostal on that ol' devil!

Do you see someone hungry, naked, in jail? Then feed them, clothe them and go visit them in jail.

I understand the concept of partnering with a big ministry such as the 700 club in order to help people around the world who are suffering that you will not ever be able to help except by giving offerings to them so they can go. But that does not release you in anyway from doing your part physically.

I have heard many people say they are helping take the gospel into foreign countries, etc. I applaude them for their efforts then they go further and tell me they have partnered with a ministry that does just this. When I ask them what they have physically done themselves, they pretty much say they have done nothing. They have not even gone next door to their neighbor to minister to them.

You see, in sharing the gospel, you cannot be missing in action. You cannot expect others to do it for you. You have to put in your time in one way or another. YOU have to make it to the front lines of battle from time to time. Otherwise, the great commission that Christ gave would be totally worthless. You cannot depend upon others. And if you don't believe me, then just read Ezekiel Chapter 3 to see whatt happens to someone that refuses to go on their personal great commission. It's rather scary!

So take up your sword of the spirit and get violent. Take back what the enemy has stolen. Proverbs 6:31 says that if the thief be found out, he must pay back 7 times what he has stolen. How do you think that is going to happen unless you go after him?

Hopefully this will give you some food for thought for your spiritual meal today. I would be happy to discuss this with you even futher if you have a desire to do so.

In the meantime, have a strong and healthy day.
