I was really looking forward to this year's show!All of the 2008 contestants are beautiful and are very talented! However, as rehearsals have progressed one sees that only those contestants who are dancers are being featured in the show numbers. How disappointing that once again the production crew has not realized how to make sure each girl shines equally. This is certainly a very difficult task for the choreographer but really if you were going to feature only the dancers you should have let the other girls stay home the extra day! Better yet, they could have gone somewhere and signed autographs or been guests at a ballgame. At least they could have had some fun!Sitting around at rehearsals while the chosen ones practice is not much fun. Then again, that is how they did the Miss America reality show. They featured only a few contestants, We hardly saw Dana on TV. OH well- hopefully the judges will only see the competition elements and not be swayed by the preferential treatment. I guess one can dream???????

Once again, a contestant has a gripe and instead of taking it to Billy or Luis during pageant week, they write about it on a messageboard or complain AFTER THE FACT. Why do you girls do this every year? How is a problem supposed to get resolved if nobody knows about it? Production crew is way too busy during pageant week to have to log onto an obscure messageboard to find your complaint. Did you speak up in rehearsals? No. Then you forfeit your right to complain. Sorry, I don't feel bad for you. Especially because there IS NO "PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT." You girls were placed in order based on your height. Every one of you girls was featured in at least one of the segments of the number. Billy did an amazing job with the assignment he was given. There is no conspiracy at work- you are obviously not involved in professional dance or theatre or else you would know this. Real leaders speak up when they have valid concerns. They don't imagine up some fabricated scenario and then whisper about it. Billy is open and approachable and you were totally welcome to talk to him about it, but you didn't.
