My daughter was in the Petite/Little Miss Bristol Pageant last year (2008)and we were told that we could not video tape or take pictures of pageant. We paid to get video from pageant, it has been almost a year and we have just found out that the person hired to make video is not doing it and we will be refunded our money. We are not very happy about this especially since we found out that the same person did video the previous year, it took them a long time to get it out, and they were rehired to do last years pageant. Does anyone have a video or pics that they took, even though they weren't supose to, and be willing to get me copies? Or does anyone know who did the video so that maybe I can contact them directly. The person running this pageant seems very reluctant to give out his name. Thanks

YUCK!!! I hate these stringent rules made by pageant officials, They always say we are "not allowed" to videotape the events, to sell the too-expensive video packages, and this isn't the first time I have heard videos have not materialized. I think it's terrible. I would contact the pageant official and say you were "prohibited" from taking your own video, due to alleged "copyright infringement", but you would be more than happy to report the situation to your Chamber Of Commerce and Better Business Bureau offices if you are not given the videographers name and contact information IMMEDIATELY!!!!! Good luck and please let us know how it turns out. I have repeatedly offered to be the official videographer for Miss Connecticut and nobody ever allows me to do so. Unlike the fly-by-night outfits who have or have NOT shown up from year to year, I would have shown up, videotaped the competition/s and made sure EVERYBODY received their videos in a TIMELY fashion! There is a huge problem with people videotaping and taking pics at all the Miss CT events to the point where no professional will even take the job. The problem is, is that 5 people do what is right and don't videotape or take photos and then 5 people don't listen and so the professionals don't sell enough to bother to come or they will not take the time to edit the event at such a loss. BTW the videographer Miss CT had the last few years was a good value I feel. O
