Subject: Our hearts are broken...

Many years ago when Haleigh was just a Tot and Heather was a Mini Miss, we were blessed to have the opportunity to meet Lorilee at the Texas State Pageant. I remember the beautiful, graceful judge that spoke to my daughters with such love and encouragement as if it was yesterday. She signed Haleigh's autograph book that day and made my little girl feel so good about her performance that week. I knew then that if the Cinderella organization had people like her involved with the children then we were in the right place. Through the years we would see Lorilee at Cinderella pageants and she always made a point to stop both of my daughters to tell them how wonderful she thought they had done. She would always stop me as well and put her loving hand on my shoulder to tell me how beautiful they looked. Her smile, her grace, her kind spirit are all of the things I aspire my children to be and I feel so blessed that they had the chance to meet her and get to know her at all. The night that Haleigh won Texas State, her 13th year to compete, this summer Lorilee was there and she was so sweet to Haleigh. When she hugged Haleigh to congratulate her Haleigh said "I am so glad that you were here to see me win" and she replied "I am so glad that I was here too."
When we received the phone call that Lorilee had passed on, our initial emotion was sadness and heartbreak. After we had cried for a while Haleigh and I talked about Lorilee and the spiritual person that she was. We realized that we would always be blessed at Christmas time to remember Lorilee and how happy she must be to be entering the Kingdom of God on this most blessed Holiday. We celebrate her life and we thank God for the Joy, Love and kindness she has brought to us and taught us in every action and word she spoke.
To all of Lorilee's family and dear friends, we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers that God will ease your pain and help you through this sorrowful time in your lives.
Lorilee Roberts was an amazing woman and we are so thankful that so many young girls have had the opportunity to have her touch their lives.
She will be missed forever.
God Bless,
Lisa and Haleigh Ozio
and Heather Roberts.
