Lorilee Jones Roberts passed away Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, in Los Angeles at Cedars Sinai Hospital. The daughter of Bill “Hoss” and Faye Jones, Lorilee was raised in Paducah. In addition to her parents, Lorilee is survived by her husband of 16 years, Andy Roberts, and their son, Drew, of Las Vegas, where the Roberts reside. She is also survived by her brother, Paul Jones of Kansas City, Mo.; maternal grandmother, Lois Williams of Golconda, Ill.; three uncles, Toby Williams of Simpson, Ill., Roby Williams of Elizabethtown, Ill., and Jimmie Jones of Princeton, Ky.; her paternal aunt, Lucretia Jones of Princeton, Ky.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.


Lorilee was born June 29, 1965, in Princeton. She graduated from Reidland High School in 1983 and Murray State University in 1987 with a bachelor of science degree in advertising and journalism. She worked part time as a home travel agent as royalty coordinator for the Cinderella Scholarship Pageant. She was also publisher of the Glass Slipper newsletter.


Lorilee served as a missionary with the Baptist North American Mission Board, including pioneer service at the 1988 Calgary Olympic Games. She was steadfast in showing Christ’s love while mentoring and coaching hundreds of young people involved in age group pageants throughout the country, and was a key volunteer with the Cinderella Scholarship Pageant system.


The family will receive friends Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah after 5 p.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton, Ky.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lorilee’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org or 800-822-6344.
