Subject: Way To Go, Mom

I just wanted everyone to know how awesome my mom is! Fort Worth, Texas received many hurricane evacuees, including over 1600 military families from Algiers and Belle Chasse, Louisiana...2 military bases near New Orleans. My mom acted as the liaison for Fort Worth ISD and the Fleet and Family Support and Service Center at NAS Fort Worth and helped over 500 of these families find temporary living quarters (apartments and hotels) and enroll their children in schools. She also worked cooperatively with FWISD and the community surrounding the JRB in accepting donations of food, clothing, and cash assistance to aid these families who will be TAD until they can return home. The elementary school she assisted enrolled over 110 military dependant evacuees from Louisiana. Please remember these military families in your prayers as well, as some of them have spouses who are deployed and can't be with them. They are handling things great!
